Ilya dreamed of studying biology in the USA, and in the long term, of working in the treatment of maxillofacial injuries.
The path to his goal was complicated by his exam results. His scores were not high, and he had to retake the exams several times before he managed to reach the required level.

This provided a solid foundation, especially the experience with crown modeling and working in the clinic. It directly aligned with Ilya’s future interest in maxillofacial medicine.
The work on the case took 1 year, and that entire year was primarily spent on weaving this experience into a cohesive story and building a strong personal brand around it.
Personal brand. Since there weren’t many new major activities, we focused on linking Ilya’s existing experience into a cohesive and compelling story centered around his interest in biology and medicine.
Collected activities. The profile includes: 1st place in the All‑Ukrainian Olympiad “Vseosvitnya Vesna” in English, an article submitted to a scientific conference in Liverpool, 1st place in the regional stage of the All‑Ukrainian Olympiad in mathematics, a 3rd‑degree diploma in the International Ukrainian Language Competition named after Petro Yatsyk, the position of class monitor and participation in the school parliament, as well as conducting oral hygiene classes together with Colgate.
Documents. We wrote the Common App essay, prepared 3 letters of recommendation, and wrote additional essays to meet the universities’ requirements.
