The cost of education in Switzerland for foreign students depends on the university, level of education and chosen direction.
On average, higher education in Switzerland costs between 20,000 and 50,000 Swiss francs per year. With a scholarship, these costs can be fully or partially covered.
Switzerland offers scholarships and financial aid for local and international students. They are awarded by universities, the state or third parties for academic and other achievements.
Awarded to students for outstanding academic achievement. Examples: Excellence Scholarships at ETH Zurich or Merit Scholarships at the University of Geneva.
The Swiss government and some universities offer research scholarships at the Master’s and PhD levels. Examples include the Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships for Foreign Scholars and Artists.
Available to students who demonstrate financial need, they cover part or all of their educational expenses.

Switzerland is a multilingual country, where knowledge of one of the languages will be a great advantage for adaptation. But even with only English, you can comfortably live, study and work here.
By the way, in many universities, foreign students can study one of the local languages for free!
Campuses (student residences)
The most affordable option, provided by the university or partner organizations; usually offers single or multiple rooms with shared facilities (kitchen, bathroom). Cost: 400 – 800 CHF per month.
Renting an apartment/room
Renting an apartment or a separate room in an apartment provides more personal space, but requires independent searching and signing of a contract. Cost: 700 – 1500 CHF per month (per room).
Homestay
Accommodation with a Swiss family, who provides a room and possibly meals. Allows you to immerse yourself in the local culture and improve your language skills. Cost: 800 – 1800 CHF per month (depending on the services included).
