CultureStudying at a British university means stepping into a world where ancient traditions coexist with modern approaches. Here, lectures may take place in buildings that are several hundred years old, but the content of the programs is updated faster than new technologies appear. It was the British system that became the prototype for the Ivy League in the USA and still sets the standard for quality.
One of the main differences is the shortened duration of study. A bachelor’s degree lasts 3 years, a master’s degree – only 1. This means less time, less expenses and more concentration. But after graduation, students leave not just with a diploma, but with real preparation for life and work in an international environment.
The duration of study in educational institutions in England and Wales is 3 years, in Scotland – 4.
With a bachelor’s degree, students study for 1-2 years to obtain a master’s degree.
With a master’s degree, you can apply for a doctorate, which will take 3-4 years to complete.
A British education is valued all over the world. For international students, it is an opportunity not just to obtain a degree, but to open the doors to an international career, new acquaintances and personal growth.
A prestigious degree recognized worldwide
UK universities are among the top universities in the world. Graduates from universities such as UCL, Edinburgh or Manchester easily find work in different countries.
Post-graduation employment opportunities
The Graduate Route visa allows graduates to stay in the country for 2 years (or 3 years for PhDs) to work or look for work without having to have an offer in advance.
Internships and work placements during your studies
Many programs include a placement year or offer collaboration with companies, which provides valuable experience and connections even before you graduate.
Developing language and intercultural skills
Immersion in an English-speaking environment improves your English proficiency, while studying in a multicultural environment develops your flexibility of thinking and ability to work in international teams.
Wide range of scholarships and grants
International students may be eligible for government and university scholarships such as Chevening, Commonwealth or faculty-specific scholarships.
